      A Jefferson Dragon Wrestler is a role model. He is a good representitive, not only to himself, but also of Jefferson Schools, his family and his teammates. He is confident, yet humble. He is proud of his strengths yet aware of his weaknesses, always striving to improve his skills. He knows that the other team is not his real opponent; it is his own potential that he competes against. He realizes "no man is an island" and is always more concerned with what is best for his team. He appreciates the contribution of every team member, past and present. He knows that the challenges of every practice will better prepare him, not only for his next match, but also for life itself. He has good work ethic.

     A Jefferson Dragon Wrestler understands that without dicipline, true success will never be achieved. He knows how to accept and appreciate both praise and criticism, understanding that it takes both to help him reach his full potential. He is courageoous. He has unquestionalbe integrity. He is responsible, not filled with excuses. He is focused on improvement, realizing that distractions come in many different forms and will always be there. He is focused during performance, never getting too involved with the decisions of the officials and distractions of the fans. He always competes to win, but understands that winning is not the true measure of  his success. The Jefferson wrestler is filled with good character.

Jefferson Wrestling

Jefferson Wrestling has a history within itself. Begining with Coach Keen, Jefferson Wrestling has developed over time. The wrestling community of Jefferson is like family. Wrestlers begin at the young age of 6 and work their way up through USA wrestling, Middle School wrestling, Junior Varsity and then finally Varsity. They are honored to have dedicated coaches that work together for the development of all of their wrestlers.
